Organization: Bayshore Cultural & Performing Arts Center
Heck is a jazz guitarist/bassist and composer currently living and working in Naples, Florida. With two very musical parents he was encouraged early to pursue music, starting on cello at age four. He was playing bass in bands by the third grade and was playing jobs around Long Island on guitar in his early teens. Dan is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has been a professional musician for over 20 years in Boston, New York, Paris and Seattle. He has performed at many prestigious venues around the world including the Blue Note in New York and the Space Needle in Seattle. He can be heard on dozens of recordings as both a sideman and a leader and is a co-founder of the award winning Seattle jazz ensemble, Bebop and Destruction. Dan's playing is best described as "modern jazz" with a heavy "bop" influence. For more information please call 239-775-2800.
