1) Homeschool Day at Rookery Bay
Curious about what lives underneath the waves? Ever wonder about how microscopic plankton are connected to sharks? Students will use microscopes to identify different species of

plankton and learn about their roles in the estuarine ecosystem. We’ll then head to the top trophic level to learn about sharks; what species are here and why some sharks are considered to be indicator species.

2) Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves' Snorkeling Ecoventure
Organization: Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves

6 patrons will board a 25' Triumph Windsorcraft, take a short ride to the snorkel site, then don masks and snorkels to see firsthand the seagrass beds and other habitats marine creatures call home. Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves staff will assist in identification. Please wear a bathing suit, and plan to bring snorkel gear (otherwise gear will be provided), towel, water, sunscreen and hat.

3) Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves' Nature Boat Tour
Organization: Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves

6 patrons will board our comfortable, 25' Windsorcraft boat for a 1hr long informative tour to view local wildlife that call the aquatic preserves their home, including dolphins, manatees, pelicans and other wading and diving birds. Participants can use the supplied binoculars to get an up-close view. During the tour, visitors will learn about the importance of estuaries and history of the area.
